  • Youth Fitness Program Curriculum Coordinator

    Overview:

    As the Youth Fitness Program Curriculum Coordinator, you will be responsible

    for creating, promoting, and implementing engaging fitness programs catered to the youth demographic. Your role will involve developing curriculum content, executing marketing strategies, and establishing strong community relationships to enhance program participation.


    Responsibilities:

    Curriculum Development:

    • Design age-appropriate fitness curricula that align with the physical and developmental needs ofchildren and teenagers. Incorporate a variety of activities, exercises, and educational components to make the programs engaging and beneficial.

    Marketing and Promotion:

    • Devise and execute marketing strategies to promote youth fitness programs through variouschannels, including social media, community events, and partnerships. 
    • Create compelling promotional materials and content to attract participants and showcase the unique features of the programs.
    • Content Implementation:
    • Oversee the seamless execution of weekly fitness sessions and unique wellness camps, ensuring that curriculum content is delivered as planned. 
    • Collaborate with instructors to ensure they are well-equipped with the necessary resources and guidance to deliver high-quality sessions.

    Community Networking:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organizations, and local businesses to promote the programs and foster community engagement. 
    • Attend community events and meetings to increase visibility and generate interest in youth fitness initiatives.

    Participant Engagement:

    • Develop strategies to keep participants motivated and engaged throughout the program duration.
    • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve and adapt the programs based on their needs.

    Data Analysis:

    • Monitor and analyze the success of marketing campaigns and program participation. Use data insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to improve program effectiveness.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain positive relationships within the community.
    • Knowledge of child development and fitness principles.
    • Ability to think creatively and strategically to promote program growth.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing.

    Hours: 35 hours/week (days and evenings)

    Salary: Dependent on education and experience

    *This is an NOHFC funded position. All applicants must meet the following criteria:

    •  Candidate must be either a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.
    • Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate.
    • Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
    • The candidate must reside in Sault Ste Marie
